Impact Beyond Technology

On May 30th, the team at ICIDAT Technology had the privilege of visiting House of Recap Orphanage Home to share something we deeply believe in—the power of technology to transform lives.

As a company, we build digital solutions for businesses and organizations, but our mission goes beyond software, websites, and systems. One of our greatest goals is to use our skills to create opportunities and impact communities, especially for the less privileged.

During our visit, we introduced the children and teenagers to different areas of technology, including Networking, Web Development, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics. We also had an exciting Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) session, giving many of them a first-hand experience of emerging technologies.

More than the presentations, what stood out was the hope, curiosity, and excitement in their eyes. We saw young minds eager to learn, dream, and discover possibilities beyond their current circumstances.

This moment reminded us why we do what we do.

For the past few years, ICIDAT has remained committed to developing talent and creating access through initiatives like the Impact Jos Bootcamp. From our first edition to the second, and now as we prepare for another edition this August, our goal remains the same: to empower people with skills, knowledge, and opportunities that can change their future.

Technology should not be reserved for a privileged few. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, create, and compete in a digital world.

What began as a visit has now become the beginning of a relationship. Through mentorship, guidance, and continuous engagement, we hope to support these young people on their journey.
